Ruger was more than a dog; she was a foundational piece of our family story. She was part of our marriage proposal, and over the years, major life decisions ended up being based on her, including some of the places we called home. While she crossed the rainbow bridge in June of 2025, this is not a sad story. She lived a long, happy life, and she was, and still is, very loved. It’s fitting that a memorial for her inspired a new direction for our company because she changed our lives from the moment she came into it.

How do you make a difference with art?

I’ve wondered about that for years, until my son made a simple suggestion while I was working on a resin project for Pour Decisions Paint Studio LLC: “What if we do something for Ruger?”

I’d kept mementos like her collar, dog tag, favorite toy, and paw print on a card from our vet. What if we could make something beautiful with them, something that didn’t feel so sad? The whole family contributed, sharing our favorite photos and the memories behind them. The project was healing in a way I didn’t expect, and it became the inspiration for Resonating Legacy.
